When performing an engine-off coolant service, there are two methods. The first is a fast and easy vacuum and fill through the radiator cap (either on the radiator or the pressurized coolant reservoir). The second is a more thorough flush service through the upper radiator hose. On some newer vehicles, accessing and connecting to the upper radiator hose can be difficult and time consuming. In this video, I’ll show you how you can still perform the more thorough flush service with a simple connection to the pressurized coolant reservoir, also referred to by Ford as the degas bottle.
